Mike's December 2005 DVD Pics
Hey people, Mike here. I have come out of my web hiatus to bring you December's Picks of the Month. Get it while it's hot because I'll most likely be back on hiatus for a while...What can I say? Life is complex right now.
Bill Hicks: Sane Man
Release Date: 12/6
Now, I don't always agree with everything Bill Hicks used to say but I do have to admit that the man made me laugh. He is from an earlier generation of non-P.C. comics that you just don't see anymore because people are just too freakin sensitive these days...freakin wimps one and all.

Pam Grier Collection: Fox In A Box
Release Date: 12/6
Pam Grier is without a doubt, one of the sexiest women ever in the history of film. Probably because she has really big…eyes. Yeah. Anyway, this set includes Foxy Brown, Coffy and Sheba, Baby. All there of which are films from Pam’s heyday as a sex icon. I love DVD…

Star Wars Trilogy (3-Disc Limited Edition)
Release Date: 12/6
OK, this is the new, slimmed down, cheap trilogy for those who couldn’t afford the 4-disc set. We all know that the original Star Wars Trilogy is pure cinema greatness at its best so I don’t really need to go on about this. Just buy this if you didn’t pick up the 4-disc set.

Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume 2
Release Date: 12/6
We have more Star Wars goodness this month in the form of Star Wars: Clone Wars - Volume 2, the killer cartoon series from Cartoon Network. This series is great for filling in the gaps between episodes II & III. If you love all things Star Wars like I do then this is a must have addition to your collection.

Airplane: "Don't Call Me Shirley!" Edition
Release Date: 12/13
I LOVE this film. It’s everything I love about wacky movies from the early 80’s. This edition is full of neat little goodies so if this one doesn’t make you drool then you might just be in the wrong place right now…

Death Race 2000: Special Edition
Release Date: 12/13
One of the all time great bad sci-fi movies and one of Sly’s very first films. Death Race 2000 is basically the story of a post apocalyptic future were the most popular sport is a cross country road race where drivers score extra points by running over spectators, and where David Carradine tries to get laid. Like I said, one of the all time great bad sci-fi movies.

Sin City: Recut – Extended - Unrated
Release Date: 12/13
I doubt I really even need to explain why this DVD is on my list. Though admittedly, the price tag is a little hard to swallow.

The Brothers Grimm
Release Date: 12/20
This was one hell of a fun film. Not Oscar material by any means but atmospheric as hell and definitely worth picking up…and watching over and over again.
