Mike's November 2005 DVD Pics
Hey people, Mike here. Now I know I'm a few days late but I've had a lot of upheaval in my life in the past week so...sue me. Anyway, this month's list is short but it contains some REALLY kickass stuff so check it out
Office Space: Special Edition with Flair!
Release Date: 11/1
Um yeah, hi… This film is undoubtedly the anthem of the working class. Everything that I hate about working for other people is addressed and made fun of in this movie. Every person who has EVER had to work in a cubicle day after day NEEDS to own this DVD. A true modern day classic.

Robert Rodriguez: Mexico Trilogy
Release Date: 11/1
For those of you that don’t own these fine films now you have the convenience of buying them in one attractive package. I'm not too sure about the special features on this set but knowing Robert Rodrigues I'm sure he has some real goodies in store for us.

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
Release Date: 11/1
OK, here's my #1 Pick of the Month. This film has an opening scene almost as awe inspiring as the opening sceen to A New Hope...almost, nothing will ever top the first time I saw that Star Destroyer fly overhead. Anyway, George really hit this one out of the park and in my opinion it is every bit as good as any of the original three films that we all love so much.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Release Date: 11/8
This film was so cheery and bent that it truely did creep me out at every turn...but in a good way. This movie is every thing that is great about Tim Burton and Johnny Depp colaborations. It also feels a little more old school Tim Burton than a few of his more recent films. This movie is skewed just enough to add the right amount of atmosphere without making the whole thing just too odd to follow.

Edward Scissorhands: Anniversary Edition
Release Date: 11/8
And riding the coattails of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is another Johnny Depp/Tim Burton classic...man they make some really great films together. Anyway, I doubt I really need to say much about this movie because if this isn't your type of DVD then you are most definitely on the wrong website. I will say, though, that it does come in a really cool tin with 6 still pictures not to mention that fact that there's a feature commentary with Tim Burton and Danny Elfman. Basically, there is a lot of good stuff is this set so you should definitely check it out.

Aeon Flux: The Complete Animated Collection
Release Date: 11/22
Like many other teenage males before me, I LOVED Aeon Flux on MTV's Liquid Television. Seeing Aeon running around in little tiny outfits shooting every one in her path...ah, life was good. But seriously, now you can get the whole collection of crazy ass cartoon shorts. You seriously need this.

The Frighteners: Director’s Cut
Release Date: 11/29
YES! Finally, The Frighteners back in print! I freakin love this movie and have been looking for it on DVD for several years now. Up until The Lord of the Rings this was my favorite Peter Jackson film and still ranks up there as one of the coolest movies in recent history. If you’ve never seen The Frighteners then here is your big chance to see a kickass modern horror film.

The Great Muppet Caper: 50th Anniversary Edition
Release Date: 11/29
OK, so this film isn’t 50 years old, it’s actually only 24 years old…BUT the Muppets ARE 50 years old. Anyway, this was my favorite Muppets movie as a kid. I don't know why but I have always just loved it. So if you like singing socks then this is definitely the DVD for you.
